The Boiling Lake is one of Dominica`s most popular and strenuous trails. I rate the hike at 3.5 out of 5 in difficulty. The hike to the Boiling Lake is just as much of an attraction as the lake itself. It features the Valley of Desolation, a trek through lush rainforest and the beautiful mountain flora.
This Lake is said to be the second- largest in the world, with a flooded fumarole of grayish-blue
water approximately 63 meters/ 207 feet across. Hikers are advised to book a guide and carry along water, a sandwich/ snacks, close shoes, a raincoat, a camera, and a change of clothes. The price includes transportation, guide, and site fees.
